The film tells two cancer patients beat American Sniper, Boyhood, Gone Girl, the Guardians of the Galaxy, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, Selma, and Whiplash.
"I had nothing to do with the making of this movie, but I was the first to the microphone," joked John Green, author of the novel with the same title.
Previously, the film actress, Shailene Woodley received the Best Female Performance. He said, "I feel like this award belongs to John Green. Who I'm staring at right now, Because he Gave this world a beautiful masterpiece: a gift in the book The Fault in Our Stars, "he said.
Shai also received the Trailblazer Award. In total, the film adaptation of the novel of John Green is won three trophies.
